Abstract

Dentalni implantati postali su uvriježen način sanacije djelomične i potpune bezubosti. Postoji više načina izrade konačnoga protetskog rada, a koji će se primijeniti, ovisi o situaciji u pojedinoga pacijenta i načinu rada kliničara. U većini se slučajeva čeka završetak razdoblja oseointegracije kako bi se izradio konačan protetski nadomjestak. Oseointegracija jest strukturna i funkcijska veza između dentalnoga implantata i kosti. Tijekom oseointegracijskoga razdoblja pacijenta treba opskrbiti privremenim protetskim radom. Ovi nadomjestci moraju zadovoljiti estetsku ulogu, funkcijsku ulogu (ravnomjeran prijenos žvačnih sila) i psihosocijalnu ulogu. Privremeni su nadomjestci, dakle, vrsta protetskoga rada koji se izrađuje iz estetskih, funkcijskih i psiholoških razloga za određeno vrijeme – do predaje konačnoga protetskog rada. Postoji više vrsta privremenih nadomjestaka, a mogu se podijeliti u fiksne i mobilne. Od materijala koji služe za izradu privremenih proteza najčešće se upotrebljava akrilat (polimetil metakrilat). Tako načinjene proteze pokazuju dobra estetska i mehanička svojstva, jednostavne su za rukovanje, imaju dobru retenciju, a i procedura je izrade jednostavna. Pravilnom polimerizacijom akrilata postižu se njegova najbolja svojstva. No ako se dogode određene pogreške tijekom ovoga procesa, mogu se očitovati loša svojstva akrilata. Osim od akrilata, proteze se mogu izraditi i od drugih materijala, najčešće od poliamida. Danas je moguća izrada i digitalnim tehnologijama (CAD/CAM i 3D ispis).

Abstract (english)

Dental implants became a common way for rehabilitation of partial and complete edentulism. There are several types of definitive denture fabrication, which depend on the situation of the individual patient and the clinician's approach. In most cases final denture is made at the end of the osseointegration period. Osseointegration represents structural and functional connection between dental implants and the bone. During osseointegration period, the patient should be provided with temporary prosthodontic substitute. Such temporary substitutes must satisfy aesthetics, function (uniform transfer of masticatory forces) and its psychosocial role. Temporary substitutes are a type of prosthodontic replacement that is made for aesthetic, functional and psychological purposes for some period of time until the submission of the definitive prosthodontic treatment. There are several types of temporary substitutes, which can be divided in fixed and removable. Acrylic (polymethyl methacrylate) is the most commonly used material for the fabrication of temporary removable dentures. Such dentures provide good aesthetics and mechanical properties, easy handling, good retention and a simple fabrication procedure. Its best properties are achieved with proper acrylics polymerization. On the other hand, when certain errors occur during this process, they may result in poor acrylic properties. Beside acrylics, removable dentures can also be made from other materials, the most common being polyamide. Today, removable dentures can also be made using digital technologies (CAD/CAM and 3D printing).
