Abstract

Tehnologija ima sve značajniju ulogu u dentalnoj medicini. CAD/CAM sustavi ubrzavaju rad doktora dentalne medicine, smanjuju broj dolazaka pacijenata i čine postupak otiskivanja ugodnijim. Razvoj CAD/CAM sustava prati i razvoj dentalnih materijala, posebice dentalne keramike. Poboljšanjem materijala povećava se i njihova čvrstoća, što omogućava izradu estetskih nadomjestaka kako u frontalnom tako i u lateralnom segmentu. Utjecaj CAD/CAM tehnologije očituje se i u drugim granama dentalne medicine poput implantologije, ortodoncije i resturativne dentalne medicine. Napredak tehnologije omogućava i digitalno određivanje boje zuba. Zahvaljujući tehnologiji poput digital smile design, možemo digitalno dizajnirati osmijeh.

Abstract (english)

Technology has an increasingly important role in dental medicine. CAD/CAM systems accelerated workflow of dentist, decrease amount of patient's visits and make impression procedure more comfortable. The CAD/CAM evolution is followed by dental materials, especially dental ceramic. Due to improving of material, the material firmness is stronger which enables the creation of aesthetic frameworks including frontal and lateral segments. The impact of CAD/CAM technology is reflected in the others branches of dentistry, such as implantology, orthodontics and restorative dental medicine. The advancement of technology enables the digital tooth color determination. Thanks to the technology such as digital smile design, we can digitally design a smile.
