Abstract

Implantoprotetska rehabilitacija potpuno bezubih pacijenata jedan je od uvriježenih načina liječenja ovoga stanja. Gubitak zuba umanjuje kvalitetu života te predstavlja funkcijski i estetski nedostatak. U tradicionalnom pristupu implante nije uvriježeno opteretiti do kraja oseointegracijskoga razdoblja. To razdoblje traje od tri do šest mjeseci, ovisno o stanju okolne kosti i položaju implantata. S druge strane, implantati postavljeni u bazalnu kost moraju se imedijatno funkcijski opteretiti. Bazalna kost otporna je na resorpciju te se odlikuje visokom sposobnošću podnošenja opterećenja.
U ovom radu prikazan je slučaj rehabilitacije potpuno bezubog pacijenta s 20 bazalnih implantata koji su imedijatno funkcijski opterećeni sa semicirkularnim metalo-keramičkim mostom.

Abstract (english)

Implantoprosthetic rehabilitation of completely edentulous patients has become an ingrained way of treating this condition. Tooth loss diminishes the quality of life and represents a functional and aesthetic deficiency. Traditiontal implants require an undisturbed healing period of three to six months, depending on the quality of the surrounding bone and the location of the implants. On the other hand, implants placed in the basal bone must be immediately functionally loaded. The basal bone is not prone to resorption and has very high load bearing capacities.
This paper presents a case report of full mouth rehabilitation in which 20 single piece basal implants were inserted and functionally loaded with a semi-circular metal-ceramic bridge.
