Abstract

Endodontsko lijeĉenje zuba uglavnom se provodi na zubima zahvaćenim karijesom i/ili višestrukim restauracijama. Ukljuĉuje mehaniĉku instrumentaciju te irigaciju sredstvima za kemijsku dezinfekciju, sa svrhom uklanjanja nekrotiĉnog sadržaja i mikroorganizama iz korijenskog kanala. Gubitak koronarne strukture zuba smanjuje ĉvrstoću zuba. Izbor restaurativnog postupka kod endodontski lijeĉenih zubi ovisi o koliĉini preostale zubne strukture i anatomskom položaju zuba. Kod horizontalnog gubitka krune zuba ili ako nema dovoljno preostale strukture, potrebno je postaviti intrakanalni kolĉić. Svrha rada bila je pregledom literature utvrditi koji od razliĉitih sustava vlaknima ojaĉanih intrakanalnih kolĉića pokazuje najbolja svojstva trajnosti u in vivo uvjetima. Pretraga na PubMED-u s kljuĉnim rijeĉima „fiber post“ and „clinical study“ and „dentistry“ je napravljena kako bi se pronašla in vivo istraživanja, objavljena na engleskome jeziku u razdoblju od svibnja 2006. do svibnja 2016. godine, koja se odnose na postendodontsku opskrbu zuba intrakanalnim kolĉićima. Analizom ĉetiri kliniĉke studije, pronađenih po kriteriju kljuĉnih rijeĉi, zakljuĉeno je da staklenim vlaknima ojaĉani intrakanalni kolĉići pokazuju najbolje rezultate u in vivo uvjetima.

Abstract (english)

Endodontic treatment is mostly used on teeth severly damaged by tooth decay and/or teeth with huge restaurations. It includes mechanical instrumentation and chemical irigation in order to move necrotic debris and microorganisms from a root canal. Loss of the coronal tooth structure decreases tooth strength. Choice of postendodontic restaurative treatment depends of remaining tooth structure and anatomic position of the tooth. In case of horizontal tooth crown loss or insufficient tooth structure, intraradicular post is indicated. The purpose of this review was to determine which intraradicular fiber-reinforced post system shows the best clinical performance. Search on PubMED database with key words „fiber post“ and „clinical study“ and „dentistry“ for the period from May 2006 untill May 2016 is made to find clinical studies, published in English language, that refer to postendodontic tooth restauration with fiber reinforced post. Analysing four clinical studies found by search criteria it is concluded that glass-fiber reinforced posts perform the best in clinical conditions.
