Abstract

Poliamidni materijali se u stomatološkoj protetici koriste za izradu različitih vrsta privremenih i trajnih nadomjestaka. U implantoprotetici se najčešće koriste tijekom pripreme za ugradnju implantata ili nakon njihove ugradnje u fazi cijeljenja. Poliamidne materijale karakterizira visoka elastičnost, te čvrstoća i tvrdoća koje su manje od metala. Prednosti su im stabilnost oblika, manji umor materijala u odnosu na konvencionalne akrilate, otpornost na vlačno opterećenje, sposobnost prigušenja vibracija, lomna žilavost, dobra kemijska otpornost, niska toplinska ekspanzija, te dobre optičke karakteristike i izbor boja na tržištu. Razlozi rjeđe uporabe ovih materijala su hidrofilnost i površinska hrapavost s posljedičnom degradacijom i diskoloracijom površine materijala nakon određenog vremena u funkciji, te relativno skuplja tehnologija izrade u odnosu na konvencionalne akrilate.

Abstract (english)

Polyamide materials are used in prosthetic dentistry for construction of different types of provisional and permanent restorations. In implant prosthetic dentistry are usually used during preparation time for implant insertion or after implant insertion, during healing period. Polyamide materials show high elasticity and have strenght and hardness lower than metal. Their advantages are shape stability, lower fatigue than conventional acrylics, tensile strength, suppression of vibrations, high fracture toughness, good chemical resistance, low thermal expansion, good optical properties and coloration options. The reasons of their infrequent use are water sorption and surface roughness with resulting discolorations and surface degradation after certain period in function and relatively more expensive fabrication technology compared to acrylic materials.
