Abstract

Dentalne traume u mliječnoj denticiji predstavljaju hitna stanja, stoga je potrebno znati kako pristupiti djetetu i kako sanirati ozljedu. Ozljede mliječnih zuba javljaju se od jedne i pol do treće godine zbog nedovoljno razvijene motorike, pri čemu su najčešće zahvaćeni gornji frontalni zubi. Zbog manje gustoće i mineralizacije koštanog tkiva u dječjoj dobi prevladavaju ozljede potpornih tkiva zuba. Prilikom dolaska djeteta s traumom zuba potrebno je uzeti detaljnu anamnezu i provesti klinički pregled. Klinički pregled preporučuje se metodom koljeno o koljeno, prvo se pristupa ekstraoralnom, a zatim intraoralnom pregledu. Rendgensko snimanje provodi se po potrebi. Izbor terapije ovisi o vrsti ozljede, kao i o dobi i suradljivosti djeteta. Cilj je sačuvati mliječni zub jer njegovim gubitkom mogu nastati brojne komplikacije. Međutim ponekad je ekstrakcija mliječnog zuba terapija izbora, stoga je važno poznavati moguće posljedice preranog gubitka mliječnog zuba i načine prevencije.

Abstract (english)

Dental trauma in deciduous dentition is an emergency, so it is necessary to know how to approach the child and how to heal the injury. Injuries to deciduous teeth occur between the ages of one and a half and three due to insufficiently developed motor skills, with the upper front teeth being the most frequently affected. Due to the lower density and mineralization of the bone tissue, injuries to the supporting tissue of the teeth predominate in childhood. When a child arrives with a dental trauma, a detailed medical history must be taken and a clinical examination carried out. A clinical examination using the knee-to-knee method is recommended, first an extraoral and then an intraoral examination. If necessary, an X-ray imaging is performed. Treatment choice depends on the type of injury, the age, and the child's cooperation. The aim is to preserve the deciduous tooth, as its loss can cause numerous complications. However, sometimes deciduous tooth extraction is the treatment of choice. It is critical to know the possible consequences of premature deciduous tooth loss and the prevention methods.
