| Abstract | Alergijski rinitis je česta bolest s rastućom prevalencijom uzrokovano širenjem zapadnjačkog načina života. Bolest se očituje na način da imunosni sustav pretjerano reagira na specifične ,ali neinfektivne tvari kao što su: pelud, životinjska dlaka, grinje, kućna prašina. Tijekom alergijskog napada antitijela prvenstveno imunoglobulin E se pričvrsti za mastocite uzrokujući otpuštanje histamina u plućima, koži i mukoznim membranama. Kad se IgE spoji s mastocitima otpušta se određeni broj kemijskih tvari. Jedna od tih tvari je histamin koji uzrokuje otvaranje krvnih žila uzrokujući crvenilo kože i otečenost membrana. Ovo uzrokuje kihanje i kongestiju u nosu. Alergijski rhinitis je rijetko samostalna bolest ,trebamo ga promatrati kao sistemsku alergijsku bolest u komorbiditetu s astmom, nosnim polipima ,sinusitisom, upalom srednjeg uha, atopijskim dermatitisom i alergijama na hranu. |
| Abstract (english) | Allergic rhinitis is extremely common condition which seems to be increasing in prevalence, possibly because of the adoption of western lifestyles across the globe. This condition occurs when the body's immune system overresponds to specific ,non
infectious particles such as plant pollens,molds,dust mites,animal hair. During an allergic attack, antibodies,primarly immunoglobin E (IgE) attach to mast cells(cells that release histamine) in the lungs,skin,and mucous membranes. Once
IgE connects with the mast cells a number of chemical are released. One of the chemicals,histamine,opens the blood vessels and causes skin redness and swollen membranes. When this occurs in the nose,sneezing and congestion are the result.
Allergic rhinitis is rarely found in isolation and need to be considerd in the context of systemic allergic disease associated with numerous comorbid disorders, including asthma, sinusitis, nasal polyposis, conjunctivitis, otitis media, atopic dermatitis and food allergy. |
