Abstract

U ovo istraživanje nastojalo se uključiti što veći broj ispitanika kako bi rezultati mogli poslužiti kao dobar pokazatelj stavova studenata dentalne medicine prema korištenju digitalnih tehnologija u struci. U istraživanje je uključeno 199 ispitanika i podijeljeni su s obzirom na spol (44 muška; 22,1%, 155 ženskih; 77,9%), razinu edukacije (64 pretkliničke – 32,2%, 135 kliničke nastave – 67,8%) i mjesto studiranja (141 Stomatološki fakultet Sveučilišta u Zagrebu – 70,9%, 58 MEFST , Dentalna medicina – 29,1%). Ispitanici su većinom bili bolje upućeni u konvencionalnu tehniku otiskivanja, a o digitalnoj su se izjasnili kao ni upućeni ni neupućeni. Digitalnu tehniku otiskivanja percipiraju kao lakšu od konvencionalne. Kao najveću prednost digitalnog skeniranja ističu kraće vrijeme potrebno za uzimanje otiska (p<0.05). Analizom rezultata istraživanja može se zaključiti da su studenti dentalne medicine većinom neutralni po pitanju stavova o digitalnoj tehnici otiskivanja te ju je potrebno više uključiti u edukaciju.

Abstract (english)

The study tried to include as many respondents as possible so that the results could serve as a good indicator of dental medicine students' attitudes towards the use of digital technologies in profession. The study included 199 respondents and they were divided based on their gender (44 male – 22,1%, 155 female – 77,9%), level of education (64 preclinical students– 32,2%, 135 clinical dental students – 67,8%) and place of study (141 School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb – 70,9%, 58 School of Medicine, Dental Medicine, University of Split – 29,1%). The respondents were generally better informed about conventional impression technique, and they were neither informed nor uninformed about the digital technique. Digital impression technique was perceived as easier than conventional. They accentuated shorter length of time for taking the impression (p<0.05), as the most important advantage of digital scanning. Analyzing the results of the study, it can be concluded that dental medicine students are mostly neutral about their attitudes towards digital impression technique and that this technique should be more included in education.
