Abstract

Svrha oralne rehabilitacije ponovna je uspostava žvačne funkcije, estetike, fonetike te u konačnici zdravlja pacijenta. Za provedbu uspješnog liječenja iznimno je bitan korak detaljan prvi pregled koji se sastoji od više faza. Prije svega, značajna je detaljna anamneza, a nakon toga i analiza radiološke snimke te u konačnici klinički pregled. U današnje vrijeme u ordinacijama dentalne medicine uobičajena je svakodnevna upotreba ortopantomograma kao ne samo važne dijagnostičke pretrage nego i neizostavnog pomagala pri planiranju svih oblika protetske terapije. Analizom ortopantomograma doktor dentalne medicine dobiva uvid u stanje pojedinih zubi, prepoznaje razne patološke procese u usnoj šupljini te i prije nego što je obavio sam klinički pregled može precizno procijeniti u kojem će smjeru ići terapija. Prilikom planiranja nadoknade bezubih prostora, koristeći se ortopantomogramom, pozornost se između ostalog obraća na odabir i samu procjenu zuba nosača budućeg nadomjeska te određivanje smjera njegova unošenja, a ako se razmišlja o implantološkoj terapiji, svakako je bitna i količina kosti. U ovom radu upravo je s pomoću niza različitih kliničkih slučajeva prikazan primjer pravilne analize postojeće situacije u usnoj šupljini te postupak individualnog planiranja oralne rehabilitacije koristeći se samo ortopantomogramom. Naravno, za konačnu odluku o terapiji neophodan je dobar klinički pregled te razgovor s pacijentom.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of oral rehabilitation is to restore chewing function, aesthetics, phonetics and ultimately the health of a patient. In order to carry out the treatment successfully, it is important to do a detailed first examination, which consists of several stages. First, a detailed anamnesis is necessary, followed by an analysis of radiological images and a clinical examination. Today, orthopantomograms are used daily in dental offices not only as an important diagnostic tool, but also as an irreplaceable aid in planning all forms of prosthetic therapy. By analyzing orthopantomograms, dentists get an insight into the state of particular teeth and recognize various pathological processes in the oral cavity. Thus, they can accurately assess the direction in which the therapy should go, even before performing the clinical examination. When using an orthopantomogram to plan the restoration of edentulous spaces, attention is paid, among other things, to the selection and evaluation of the abutment teeth of the future prosthesis and its path of insertion. If implant therapy is being considered, the bone level also needs to be taken into account. Through a series of different clinical cases, this paper shows an example of the correct analysis of the existing state of an oral cavity and the procedure of planning individual oral rehabilitation using only an orthopantomogram. Of
course, a thorough clinical examination and a conversation with the patient are necessary to reach the final decision on therapy.
