Abstract

Gubitak okluzalne potpore stražnjih zuba uslijed djelomične anodoncije i/ili njihovog ekscesivnog trošenja, izlaže frontalne zube povećanom okluzalnom opterećenju, a udruženo s parodontnom bolesti, postepeno se povećava njihova mobilnost. Izostankom
parodontološke i protetske terapije taj proces najčešće završava gubitkom zuba, a moguć je i nastanak temporomandibularnog poremećaja. To se nastoji spriječiti trajnim ili privremenim očuvanjem donjih i /ili gornjih frontalnih zuba tako da ih povežemo
međusobno. Povezivanje zubi u blok može biti provedeno fiksnoprotetskim radom, ali i pretežito konzervativno pomoću vlaknima ojačanog kompozita (FRC). Terapijski učinci povezivanja zasnivaju se na imobilizaciji i otporu funkcijskim silama povezanih zuba.
Time je omogućeno održanje preostalih zuba pacijenta u funkciji, održanje vertikalne relacije okluzije i shema prednjeg i/ili lateralnog vođenja. Svrha rada je prikaz primjene konzervativne metode povezivanja prednjih zuba, odnosno prikaz izrade splinta od FRC-a. Tako se sprečavaju poremećaji u okluziji i traumatske sile na pojedinom zubu. Trajnost FRC splinta umanjuju slaba oralna higijena, parodontopatije, bruksizam, izostanak primjerene protetske terapije itd.

Abstract (english)

Loss of occlusal support of posterior teeth due to partial anodontia and / or their excessive wear exposes anterior teeth to increased occlusal load, and associated with periodontal disease, their mobility gradually increases. In the absence of periodontal and prosthodontic therapy, this process usually results in tooth loss, and the development of temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is possible. To prevent such a scenario, mandibular and / or maxillary anterior teeth can be connected
by splinting them either temporarily or permanently. Splinting of the teeth into a block can be performed either by a fixed prosthetic appliance or, predominantly, conservatively using a fiber-reinforced composite (FRC). The therapeutic effects of splinting are based on the immobilization and their mutual resistance to unfavorable functional forces. This enables the maintenance of the patient's remaining teeth in function, the maintenance of the vertical dimension of occlusion
(VDO) and the preservation of existing anterior and / or lateral guidance schemes. The aim of the study was to present cases of fiber reinforced composite splinting of anterior teeth (FRC splint). This prevents occlusal disorder development, as well as
overloading of a single tooth. The durability of such splints decreases with unfavorable oral hygiene, untreated periodontal diseases, bruxing habits, lack of a prosthodontic therapy, etc.
