Abstract

Postupci elevacije dna maksilarnog sinusa primjenjuju se u slučajevima resorpcije alveolarnog grebena gornje čeljusti. Tijekom života razni faktori pridonose resorpciji kosti te povećanju pneumatskog prostora sinusa maksile. Zahvat podizanja dna maksilarnog sinusa ubraja se u oralnokirurške zahvate i nužno je saznati sve podatke koji mogu promijeniti sam zahvat i ishod zahvata. Danas postoji mnogo tehnika kojima se može postići estetski i funkcionalni uspjeh terapije. Najčešće su primjenjivane tehnike otvorena i zatvorena tehnika elevacije, a u modernije tehnike ubrajamo balon-tehniku i hidropneumatsku tehniku. Osnovna je svrha
elevacije dna maksilarnog sinusa mogućnost postavljanja implantata te rehabilitacija djelomične ili totalne bezubosti gornje čeljusti.

Abstract (english)

Maxillary sinus floor elevation procedures are applied in cases of resorption of the alveolar ridge of the upper jaw. Over a lifetime, various factors contribute to bone resorption and to the increase in the pneumatic space of the maxillary sinus. The maxillary sinus floor lifting procedure is an oral surgical procedure, and it is necessary to ascertain all of the details that
may affect the procedure itself and the outcome of the procedure. Today, there are many techniques with which the aesthetic and functional success of therapy can be achieved. The most commonly used elevation techniques are the open and closed techniques, while the more modern techniques include the balloon technique and the hydropneumatic technique. The
primary purpose of maxillary sinus floor elevation is the possibility of implant placement, as well as the rehabilitation of partial or total edentulousness of the upper jaw.
