Abstract

Tijekom svojeg rada primarni se stomatolozi susreću sa slučajevima iz područja endodoncije koji su izvan domene njihovih sposobnosti te postoji potreba za upućivanjem pacijenta specijalistu endodoncije. Endodontski je zahvat jedan od najčešće izvođenih zahvata u stomatologiji kojeg izvode primarni stomatolozi u svojim ordinacijama, no postoje slučajevi koji stvaraju nedoumice ili postoje otežavajuće okolnosti koje ograničavaju stomatologa u radu.Otežavajuće okolnosti mogu se podijeliti na one pri postavljanju dijagnoze, izvođenju postupka liječenja i procjeni konačnog ishoda liječenja. Potrebno ih je na vrijeme ustanoviti i
po potrebi pacijenta uputiti endodontu kako bi pacijent dobio najbolju skrb.

Abstract (english)

During their work, primary care dentists encounter cases in the field of endodontics that are beyond the scope of their abilities and there is a need to refer the patient to an endodontics specialist. The endodontic treatment is one of the most commonly performed procedures in dentistry performed by primary care dentists in dental clinics, but there are cases that create doubts or there are challenging circumstances that limit the dentist's work. Challenging circumstances can be divided into those affecting the diagnosis process, treatment procedure performance or assessment of the final outcome of treatment. They need to be identified in time and, if necessary, the patient needs to be referred to the endodontist in order to receive the best care possible.
