| Abstract | Dentalni turizam kao oblik medicinskog turizma temelji se na pružanju stomatološke usluge izvan matične zemlje po povoljnijim cijenama, ali s dodatnom vrijednošću u obliku turističke ponude i aranžmana. Niske cijene, visoka kvaliteta i prirodne ljepote učinile su Republiku Hrvatsku destinacijom cjenovno povoljnog, a istodobno kvalitetnog dentalnog turizma. Uz dentalne usluge, većina klinika također nudi prijevoz te smještaj u vlastitim apartmanima uz organizaciju izleta i ostalih turističkih usluga. Dentalni turisti stomatološke usluge žele kombinirati s odmorom, što Hrvatsku pak čini poželjnom destinacijom upravo zbog prirodnih
ljepota i bogatih sadržaja kojima obiluje. Iz tog razloga, veliki broj hrvatskih stomatologa dentalni turizam prepoznao je kao dodatni izvor prihoda ili pak kao svoju glavnu poslovnu orijentaciju. Iako se ordinacije/poliklinike koje djeluju u okviru dentalnog turizma nalaze diljem Hrvatske, najbrojnije bilježe Zagreb, Rijeka i Split. Uz Hrvatsku, među zemljama koje nude usluge dentalnog turizma, dominiraju Mađarska, Španjolska, Češka, Litva, Rumunjska, Poljska, Turska, Meksiko, Srbija te Bosna i Hercegovina. Pacijenti uglavnom dolaze iz razvijenih zemalja kao što su Italija, Austrija, Njemačka, Velika Britanija, Irska, Japan, Kanada i SAD u kojima su stomatološki zahvati cjenovno nedostižni velikom dijelu populacije. Dentalni turizam u Hrvatskoj imao je eksponencijalan rast sve do ožujka 2020. godine kada se po prvi put suočio s globalnim problemom i izazovom u vidu pandemije COVID-19. Cilj je ovog diplomskog rada istražiti koliko je novonastala situacija usporila rad, koje su posljedice toga i ono najvažnije, ima li Hrvatska potencijal za daljnji razvoj dentalnog turizma. |
| Abstract (english) | Dental tourism, as a form of medical tourism, is based on the provision of dental services outside the home country at more favorable prices, but with added value in the form of tourist offers and arrangements. The Republic of Croatia has become a destination of affordable and at the same time quality dental tourism due to low prices, high quality, and natural beauties. In
addition to dental services, most clinics offer their transportation and accommodation with the organization of excursions and other tourist services. Dental tourists want to combine dental services with vacation, which makes Croatia a desirable destination precisely because of the natural beauty and abundance of the rich content. For this reason, a large number of Croatian dentists have recognized dental tourism as an additional source of income or as their main business orientation. Although surgeries/clinics operating within dental tourism are located throughout Croatia, the largest number is situated in Zagreb, Rijeka, and Split. In addition to Croatia, Hungary, Spain, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Mexico, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina dominate among the countries that offer dental tourism services. Patients mostly come from developed countries such as Italy, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, Canada, and the USA, where dental procedures are not affordable for majority of the population. Dental tourism in Croatia had an exponential growth until March 2020, when, for the first time, it faced a global problem and challenge in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this thesis is to research how much the new situation has slowed down the work, what are the consequences, and most importantly, whether Croatia has the potential for further development of dental tourism. |
