Abstract

Razvoj digitalnih tehnologija utječe i na stomatologiju. Digitalne tehnologije se sve češće koriste i u izradi mobilnih protetičkih nadomjestaka. 3D printanje ili trodimenzionalni ispis, sustav je izrade nadomjestaka koja pretvara računalno stvoren 3D sadržaj u fizički objekt. Iako se kod 3D printanja moguće koristiti i analognom tehnologijom (otisak, određivanje međučeljusnih odnosa, postava zuba, proba postave), ono najčešće podrazumijeva intraoralni skener, računalo sa softverom i 3D pisač. Postupak izrade potpunih proteza započinje uzimanjem optičkog otiska skenerom (ili uzimanjem konvencionalnog otiska). Pomoću računalnog programa dizajnira se budući nadomjestak, a podatci putem odgovarajuće datoteke šalju u 3D pisač na završnu izradu. 3D ispis
aditivni je tip proizvodnje koji objekt stvara tehnikom slojevanja. Ova metoda ima mnoge prednosti, ali i nedostatke, te je terapeutov posao odlučiti, prema svojim mogućnostima i potrebama, koji mu put najviše odgovara.

Abstract (english)

The development of digital technologies also affects dentistry. Digital technologies are increasingly used in the manufacture of removable dental prostheses. 3D printing or threedimensional printing is a system of production that converts computer-generated 3D content into a physical object. While 3D printing allows the use of analogue technology (impression, jaw
relationship registration, teeth setup, wax try-in), the most common means of use are using intraoral scanner, a computer with dedicated software and a 3D printer. The procedure of manufacturing a complete removable denture is initiated by taking an optical impression (or by the conventional impression-taking method). A future substitute is designed by the computer software. The resulting file is sent to a 3D printer for the final creation process. 3D printing is an additive type of manufacturing that creates objects by layering thin slices of material. This method has many advantages, but also drawbacks, and it is a therapist's job to decide, according to their abilities and needs, which technique suits them the best.
