Abstract

Svrha je ovog diplomskog rada opisati najčešće virusne infekcije usne šupljine. U skupinu najčešćih oralnih virusnih infekcija ubrajamo infekcije uzrokovane herpes simpleks virusima, virusom varičela zoster, citomegalovirusom, Epstein-Barrovim virusom, papiloma i koksaki virusima. Određene virusne infekcije kao što su primarna infekcija herpes simpleks virusom, varičela zoster virusom te infekcije koksaki virusima češće susrećemo u mlađoj populaciji. S druge strane, rekurentne infekcije herpes simpleks virusom, reaktivacija varičela zoster virusa i infekcije citomegalovirusom češće se pojavljuju u odrasloj dobi. Većina virusnih infekcija prije manifestacije promjena na oralnoj sluznici započinje pojavom prodromalne faze, nakon čega se pojavljuju promjene u usnoj šupljini. Također, kod određenih virusnih infekcija promjene su moguće i na koži. Cilj je ovog diplomskog rada dati pregled kliničke slike, dijagnostike, terapije i preventivnih mjera za sprječavanje virusnih infekcija koje će biti korisne u svakodnevnom radu doktora dentalne medicine.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this graduate thesis is to describe the most common viral infections of the oral cavity. Infections caused by herpes simplex viruses, varicella-zoster virus, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, papilloma and Coxsackie viruses are included in the group of the most common oral viral infections. Certain viral infections, such as primary infection with herpes simplex virus, varicella zoster virus, and Coxsackie virus infections are more common among younger population. On the other hand, recurrent infections with herpes simplex virus and varicella-zoster virus, and also cytomegalovirus infections are more common among adults. Most viral infections begin with the prodromal phase before oral manifestations. In certain viral infections lesions also affect the skin. The aim of this graduate thesis is to give the review of clinical picture, diagnostics, treatment and preventive measures of viral infections that will be useful in everyday work of the doctor of dental medicine.
