Abstract

Dugo godina analogni protokol provodi se kao metoda odabira u oralnoj rehabilitaciji. To je provjereni sustav koji koristi kvalitetne materijale, ali zahtjeva ljudsku manualnu vještinu i znanje kako bi se dobili odgovarajući rezultati. Upravo zato što ljudski čimbenik igra veliku ulogu u kvaliteti završnog rada, tražila se računalna preciznost kako bi se minimalizirale greške. Razvoj CAD-CAM sustava (engl. Computer Aided Design / Computer-Aided Manufacturing) predstavlja odgovor na tu problematiku. Budući da je razvoj tehnologije pronašao digitalnu alternativu za gotovo svaku fazu analognog protokola, važno je izdvojiti i usporediti prednosti i nedostatke toga sustava. U ovom radu navedene su sve faze analognog i digitalnog protokola, u kojima su navedeni materijali i metode koje se koriste. Teško je procijeniti je li digitalni protokol oralne rehabilitacije dostigao razinu i isplativost analognog protokola, no činjenica jest kako se sve više infiltrira u faze analognog protokola do trenutka kad će on postati u potpunosti digitalan.

Abstract (english)

For many years, the analog protocol has been implemented as a method of choice in oral rehabilitation. It is a quality system which uses quality materials but requires human manual skills and knowledge to get the right results. Since the human factor plays a large role in the quality of the final work, computer precision was required to minimize errors. The development of CAD-CAM system (Computer Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) is the answer to this problem. As technology development has found a digital alternative for almost every phase of the analog protocol, it is important to single out and compare the advantages and disadvantages of that system. This paper lists all phases of the analog and digital protocol, outlining the materials and the methods used. It is difficult to assess whether the digital oral rehabilitation protocol has reached the level and cost-effectiveness of the analogue protocol, but the fact is that it is infiltrating the analogue protocol stages until it becomes fully digital in the future.
