Abstract

Metali i njihove legure u stomatologiji su pronašli široku primjenu. Među njima ističe se titan koji je zbog svojstva oseointegracije materijal najčešće upotrebljavan u implantoprotetici. Kao jedan od razloga neuspjeha implantoprotetske terapije navodi se korozija materijala, najčešće galvanska korozija i jamičasta (pitting) korozija. Uzrok galvanske korozije povezivanje je titanskog implantata i suprastrukture izrađene od druge legure. Različiti elektrokemijski potencijali metala u uvjetima usne šupljine, gdje slina predstavlja elektrolit, dovode do pojave galvanskog članka. Kao uzrok pitting korozije navodi se visoka koncentracija fluoridnih iona čiji mogući izvor predstavljaju zubne paste, profilaktički gelovi za fluoridaciju te restaurativni materijali sa sposobnošću otpuštanja fluoridnih iona.
Cilj ovoga istraživanja bio je odrediti dolazi li do pojave elektrokemijskih potencijala pri adhezivnom i konvencionalnom cementiranju.
Kao model u istraživanju korišteni su titanski abutmenti (Bredent GmbH & Co. KG, Senden, Njemačka) i štapići kobalt-krom legure (Heraeus Kulzer, Hanau, Deutschland) uronjeni u različite vrste cementa. Uzorci su podijeljeni u četiri skupine ovisno u vrsti cementa:
Skupina 1. SpeedCEM Plus, samojetkajući samoadhezivni cement, Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Lihtenštajn)
Skupina 2. iFix, staklenoionomerni cement (i-dental, UAB "Medicinos linija", Siauliai, Litva)
Skupina 3. Fuji Plus, smolom modificiran staklenoionomerni cement (GC Europe, Leuven, Belgija)
Skupina 4. Phosphate Cement, cinkfosfatni cement, normalno stvrdnjavajući (Heraeus Kulzer, Hanau, Njemačka)
Za svaku od navedenih skupina provedena su tri mjerenja u trajanju od 24 h.
Rezultati su pokazali najveće razlike elektrokemijskih potencijala u cinkfosfatnog cementa i staklenoionomernih cemenata, dok su najmanji potencijali zabilježeni kod samojetkajućeg samoadhezivnog cementa.
Pri konvencionalnom i adhezivnom cementiranju dolazi do pojave elektrokemijskih potencijala.

Abstract (english)

Metals and its alloys have wide range of use in dentistry. Among them, titanium, a material with osseointegration and passivation ability, is most commonly used in implatoprostethics. One of the reasons of implant failure is material corrosion, mostly galvanic and pitting. Galvanic corrosion is a result of coupling a titanium implant with suprastructure made of a different alloy. Different electrochemical potentials of metals within the oral cavity, where saliva functions as electrolyte, cause galvanic corrosion. High concentration of fluoride ions in low pH environment may be the cause of pitting corrosion. Sources of prophylactic fluoride are toothpastes, fluoride gels and fluoride releasing restorative materials. The aim of this study was to analyze the existence of electrochemical potentials of conventional and adhesive cementing of cobalt chrome suprastructure on titanium abutment. In the study, titanium abutments (Bredent GmbH & Co. KG, Senden, Njemačka) and sticks made of cobalt chrom alloy (Heraeus Kulzer, Hanau, Germany) were immersed in different cements. Specimens were divided in four groups depending on type of the cement:
Group 1. SpeedCEM Plus, self-adhesive cement ( Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Lichtenstein)
Group 2. iFix, glass ionomer cement (i-dental, Siauliai, Lithuania)
Group 3. Fuj Plus, resin-reinforced glass ionomer cement (GC Europe,
Leuven, Belgium)
Group 4. Phosphate Cement, normal setting (Heraeus Kulzer, Hanau, Germany)
For each of the groups three measurements were done during the period of 24 hours.
The highest values of electrochemical potentials were observed among phosphate and glass ionomer cements. The lowest electrochemical potentials were measured in self-adhesive cement group.
Electrochemical potentials are found by adhesive and conventional cementing of cobalt chrome suprastructure on titanium abutment.
