Abstract

Gingivitis i parodontitis u današnje vrijeme predstavljaju značajan problem u svjetskoj populaciji. Cilj svake parodontološke terapije je vratiti izgubljene strukture i funkciju ad integrum. Uloženi su veliki napori kako bi se pronašli novi materijali i nove tehnike koje bi upravo to i omogućile, međutim prava revolucija u medicini i stomatologiji je bila upotreba 3D printinga u regeneraciji i nadomjestku izgubljenih tkiva. CBCT-om skenirani defekt te na temelju toga isprintani potpuno individualizirani nadomjestak koji savršeno odgovara defektu omogućuje da se regeneracijski proces odvija brže, a rezultati budu predvidljiviji i bolji.
Tehnika 3D printinga se također koristi i u dentalnoj implantologiji. Isprintani titanski implantati čija struktura pora njihove površine odgovara strukturi pora kosti u koju se implantira dali su obećavajuće rezultate.

Abstract (english)

Gingivitis and periodontitis presently represent a major problem in the world population. The goal of each periodontal therapy is to restore the lost structure and function ad integrum. Great efforts have been made to find new materials and new techniques that will make this posible. A real revolution in medicine and dentistry is the use of 3D prints in regeneration and replacement of lost tissues. CBCT scanned defect and based on it a fully individualized printed replacement that perfectly fits the defect allows the regeneration process to be faster with more predictable and better results.
3D printing technology is also used in dental implantology. Printed titanium implants whose structure of the pores of their surfaces corresponds to the structure of bones pore where the implant will be placed give excellent results in terms of oseointegration.
