Abstract

Poboljšavanjem magnetskih legura uvelike se proširila uporaba intraoralnih magneta kao sredstva retencije djelomičnih i totalnih proteza. Niska cijena, laka prilagodba, laka repozicija u lateralnom kliznom pomaku, mala mogućnost traume korijena s magnetskim retencijskim elementima te dobra higijena čine prednosti pri odabiru retencijskog čimbenika pri izradi proteza. Na tržištu postoje različite vrste magnetskih retencijskih elemenata, no odabir vrste i plan terapije uvelike ovise o stomatologu. Zbog jednostavnosti, smanjenih materijalnih troškova i velikih restorativnih zahvata te zaostalih korijena, koji bi inače bili eksrahirani, magneti imaju svoje mjesto kao sredstva za retenciju u stomatološkoj protetici.

Abstract (english)

By the improvement of magnet alloy the application of intraoral magnet retention for partial and complete denture prosthesis has wide spread. Low costs, good adaptation, easy reposition in latteral side shift, low possibility of supporting roots trauma by magnetic retention element and good hygiene are advantages of this retention type. There are different magnetic retention types on the market but the type and the therapy plan greatly depends on a dentist's choice. Because of the simplicity, low financial costs and minor renovating procedure on the rest of the roots, which would usually be extracted, magnets take a significant place as a retention tool in dentistry prosthetics.
