Abstract

Biokompatibilnost dentalnih materijala predstavlja jedan od ključnih preduvjeta za njihovu sigurnu i učinkovitu primjenu u stomatološkoj praksi. U ovom radu prikazana je biokompatibilnost različitih dentalnih materijala, uključujući amalgame, kompozite, adhezivne sustave, dentalne cemente i keramičke materijale. Također se razmatra biokompatibilnost dentalnih implantata, sredstava za oralnu higijenu te proizvoda za izbjeljivanje zubi i ljepila za proteze. Svrha ovog rada jest prikazati biokompatibilne, toksične i alergijske učinke tih materijala te njihovo ponašanje u kontaktu s oralnim tkivima.

Abstract (english)

The biocompatibility of dental materials is a key requirement for their safe and effective application in dental practice. This paper presents the biocompatibility of various dental materials, including amalgams, composites, adhesive systems, dental cements, and ceramic materials. The biocompatibility of dental implants, oral hygiene products, tooth whitening agents, and denture adhesives is also discussed. The purpose of this paper is to present the biocompatible, toxic, and allergic effects of these materials and their behavior in contact with oral tissues.
