Abstract

Procjena dentalne dobi na zubima koristi se u arheološkim istraživanjima, u identifikacijskom procesu ukoliko nemamo dovoljno informacija o umrloj osobi te ponekad kod živih pojedinaca. Metode za određivanje dentalne dobi najčešće zahtijevaju ekstrakciju i rezanje zuba uzdužno kroz središnju os na tanke precizne rezove. To su invazivne metode u koje spadaju Gustafsonova i Johansonova metoda te metoda po Bangu i Ramu. Navedene metode koriste šest poznatih parametara. Neinvazivne metode su radiografska analiza, npr.metoda po Kvaalu te određivanje dentalne dobi po atlasima koji prikazuju kronologiju rasta i razvoja zuba.
Svrha opisanih metoda je dobivanje podataka za regresijsku analizu i točnu procjenu dentalne dobi.

Abstract (english)

Estimation of age based on teeth may be used in studies of archeological material in identification process, especially when information relating to the deceased is unavailable and occasionally in dealing with living idividuals. Methods for age estimation usually require extraction, grinding of the tooth and preparation of precise thin sections. These are destructive methods that include method by Gustafson, method by Johanson and method by Bang and Ram. Quoted methods rely on six age-related changes. A non-destructive dental methods are radiographic exsamination for example method by Kvaal, then age estimation using atlas approach that provides information on chronological development and growth of teeth. The purpose of described methods are geting the data for regression analysis and exact results of dental age estimation.
