Abstract

Odontogena fistula je cjevasti kanal koji povezuje upalno periapikalno žarište sa sluznicom usne šupljine ili s kožom lica. Često ju je teško dijagnosticirati, osobito ako se otvara na kožu lica, jer je u tom području široka diferencijalna dijagnoza. Za postavljanje dijagnoze koristimo se anamnezom, palpacijom, sondiranjem, rengenskom snimkom i uzimanjem brisa. Tarapija fistule ovisi o zubu uzročniku. Kad god je moguće pristupa se endodontskoj terapiji i apikotomiji, a ako nije onda je terapija radikalna. Zub se ekstrahira a fistula ekscidira (4). Fistula ostavlja ožiljak na površini kože, pa je potrebna naknadna estetska korekcija (9).

Abstract (english)

Odontogenic fistula is a tubular canal wich connects inflammatory periapical focus with the mucous membrane of an oral cavity or cutaneous surface. It is often difficult to diagnose, especially if it is drainaged on the cutaneous surface, because in this area a wide differential dignosis is possible. For diagnosis we use: anamnesis, palpation, probing, radiograph and swab.
Fistula therapy depends on a tooth originator. Whenever possible root-canal therapy and apicoectomy are executed. If it is not
possible the therapy is radical; tooth extration and fistula excision (4). The fistula leaves a scar on the cutaneous surface, thus subsequent plastic surgery is necessary (9)
