Abstract

Oroantralna komunikacija je arteficijelno stvorena komunikacija usne šupljine i maksilarnog sinusa. Ona najčešće nastaje kao komplikacija nakon ekstrakcije lateralnih zuba. Otvaranje maksilarnog sinusa nastaje najčešće prilikom ekstrakcije prvog molara i
nešto manje drugog molara, dok je ekstrakcijom očnjaka, premolara i trećeg molara oroantralna komunikacija mnogo manje zastupljena. Postoji više mogućnosti ispravnog liječenja oroantralne komunikacije, što najviše ovisi o vremenu koje je prošlo od otvaranja sinusa i formiranju oroantralne fistule te o eventualnim upalnim promjenama. Odgovornost liječnika leži u ispravnoj dijagnozi, preventivi i terapiji otvorenog sinusa.

Abstract (english)

Oroantral communication is arteficialy created communication beetwen oral cavity and maxillary sinus. It usually comes as complication after extraction of lateral teeth. Opening of maxillary sinus usually comes during extraction of first and second
molar, but less common by the exstraction of canine, premolar and third molar. Possibilities of oroantral communitation therapy are various which mostly depends on time passed between opening of sinus and formation oroantral fistula and eventual
inflamatory changes. Dentists responsibility is to prescribe right diagnosis, prevention and therapy of oroantral communication.
