Abstract

Svrha je ovog rada bila istražiti referentne vrijednosti odgovora pulpe kod ireverzibilnog
pulpitisa na podražaj uzrokovan električnom strujom. Devetnaest sudionika, koji su se javili u
hitnu stomatološku službu Doma zdravlja Zagreb – Centar sa simptomima i dijagnozom
ireverzibilnog pulpitisa, sudjelovalo je u istraživanju. Uključeni su svi zubi u obje čeljusti. Nakon objašnjenja postupka i potpisanog informiranog pristanka zubi su izolirani
vaterolicama i posušeni zrakom iz pustera. Na ciljani zub nanesen je TENS gel (Dahlhausen, Njemačka) i prislonjena je elektroda uređaja. Sudionici su pritiskom na dugme zaustavili
električni impuls nakon što su osjetili bilo kakav podražaj. Mjerenje se ponovilo 3 puta, a
podatci zapisali u za to prilagođenu tablicu. Dobiveni podatci analizirani su pomoću SPSS
Statistics for Windows, ver. 17.0. (SPSS Inc., Chicago, Ill., SAD). Rezultati su pokazali kako
je moguće odrediti prag podražljivosti zubne pulpe u uvjetima ireverzibilnog pulpitisa. Srednji prag gornjih molara iznosi 42,92 µA, donjih molara 38,79 µA, a donjih kanina i
premolara 20,42 µA. Kod nekroze pulpe vrijednosti su iznad 250 μA.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this study was to explore the range of threshold responses of dental pulp with
irreversible pulpitis to stimulation caused by electric current. Nineteen participants, who came
to an emergency Community health center with symptoms and diagnosis of irreversible
pulpitis, participated in the study. All teeth in both jaws were included. After the procedure was explained and the participants signed informed consent forms, the
teeth were isolated using cotton rolls and dried with compressed air. Medical conductive
TENS gel (Dahlhausen, Njemačka) was placed on the target teeth and the electrode of the
device was clamped. The participants were instructed to stop further increase of the electrical
impulse when they felt any type of stimulus. The device VitaliScan vs-02 (E-lab, Zagreb
Hrvatska) was used. The measurement was repeated 3 times and was written in the
appropriate table. The obtained data were analysed using SPSS 17.0. (SPSS Inc., Chicago, Ill., USA). The results showed that it is possible to measure threshold stimulus of dental pulp in
irreversible pulpitis. The mean thresholds for the maxillary molars are 42,92 µA, lower
molars 38,79 µA, lower cannines and premolares 20,42 µA. In pulp necrosis the values are
above 250 μA.
